UPDATES


USER ID / BANNER UPDATE:
Concerning the community's User ID / banner, I would like all artists involved to note me with an image they'd like to use as their 'representative' piece so that I can take a 400x200 section to use in the banner. Alternatively, if you'd rather do this yourself, upload and note me with a link to a 400x200 section from your image of choice. The current layout for the banner can be seen [HERE], with my contribution already added to give you the general idea.

LJ COMMUNITY:
As some of the artists in this project don't have a DA account, an LJ community has been created to mirror this one. Additionally, as LJ is better equipped for community communication and so on, it will serve as a place for any of your who want to share or discuss ideas to get together. It can be found [HERE]. Joining is not compulsory.

4-KOMA IDEA:
As some of you may be aware, we have a few writers involved in this project as well, in case there are artists who need some inspiration or a script to work from. One of our writers, Rallamajoop, has come up with a rather entertaining idea which spawned from a few thoughts concerning Sol and Ky's alternative colour schemes (specifically, the colour swaps - the ones where it looks like they accidentally put on the other's outfit that morning). The idea itself is this: (Holy Order) Sol and Ky accidentally put on each others belts after spending the night together, and go most of the day not noticing this error with amusing results (for example, Ky could be giving a mighty motivational speech whilst his men are all to timid to point out he seems to *somehow* be wearing Sol's belt). As this idea has tickled me so much, I'd like to ask if anyone would be interested in doing a short piece each based around it? Maybe a 4-pannel strip? Let me know what you think.

Hello and welcome to HOPE AND FREE, the SolxKy Doujinshi Project.

First and foremost, this project is centred on a malexmale relationship, so if you aren't a fan of this concept, please just move on and refrain from flames and rude or unnecessary comments (this includes Overture spoilers).

THE PROJECT

The purpose of this project is quite simple - to create an online fan comic compilation for the pairing of Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske.

This will be set in the X-verse (alternatively, pre-Overture) with contributions ranging from short, 4-pannel strips to 20 something page stories.


HOW TO JOIN

New artists are always welcome! In order to join, please read the following rules and send a note titled "JOIN" to the project.

1.) First, most obvious point - you must be fan or supporter of the pairing Sol x Ky. No point in joining if you're not, right?

2.) You must be willing to contribute. The project itself is low pressure, with the deadline around December next year. Still, in order to demonstrate your ability, a one page sample of your work is required. Please include this in your note to join.

3.) Your contribution can be as long or as short as you want - though a limit of 30 pages is requested for larger submissions, this may be extended. Additionally, both chibi and full sized art is allowed. All submissions must be in black and white / greyscale.

4.) All artists are also allowed to submit a full colour image as a kind of cover for their submission.

5.) For traditional media contributions - please try to have all submissions inked. If this is not possible with a pencil submission, please ensure that the lines are at least clear and clean.

6.) As this is DA, no smut or NC-17 please.
